Let’s Be More Than Super Friends Fundraiser Was a Big Success!
For many, Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love. For some, it’s a sad reminder that they haven’t found the love they’re looking for just yet. To help those who feel left out on Valentine’s Day, we came up with the Let’s Be More Than Super Friends Fundraiser at the Millennium Fandom Bar in downtown Las Vegas. To raise money for our charity, we auctioned off dates with superheroes like Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen, Mary Jane, Deadpool, Starfire, and Wonder Woman (just to name a few). We hoped it would be fun, but we never imagined that it would help us raise over $2000!
In addition to the Let’s Be More Than Super Friends Fundraiser date auctions, we also had a raffle and a costume contest with prizes from Rogue Toys, Cosmic Comics, David Saxe Productions, PinkBox Donuts, and Grouchy John’s Coffee. We also presented Millennium Fandom Bar owner, Alex Pusineri, with a community partner plaque, making MFB the latest Official Donation Drop-Off location for Critical Care Comics.

Thank you to everyone who came out to show their support and to all who have donated to us so we can continue our mission of making kids smile… if only for 28 pages.
